MANNEQUIN
Linguaggi del corpo
Martedì scorso (9 aprile 2024) si è inaugurata la mostra collettiva dal titolo “MANNEQUIN – Linguaggi del corpo” nella sede dell’A.C.A.F. (Associazione Catanese Amatori Fotografi).
La mostra è scaturita dal workshop “Il linguaggio del corpo” che ho realizzato il 20/21 gennaio 2024 in una sala posa con la partecipazione di una modella/insegnante di danza, Marina Pezzinga.
Il tema principale del workshop è stato il linguaggio del corpo e in fotografia partendo proprio dall’Ottocento fino ad arrivare agli anni della rivoluzione sessuale.
Nella lezione introduttiva sono state viste immagini di diversi fotografi internazionali attraverso le quali sono state portate alla luce alcune delle modalità di rappresentazione della figura umana a livello artistico e sociale.
Durante le fasi di scatto la modella si è messa a disposizione dei fotografi che, con il mio aiuto, hanno fatto emergere le proprie personalità.
La mostra, intitolata MANNEQUIN, è un’esaltazione della figura umana (di donna in questo caso n.d.a.) che mostra i diversi linguaggi del corpo nel linguaggio della fotografia. Anzi, direi piuttosto i linguaggi del copro “con” il linguaggio della fotografia: una volta innestate le due sfere semantiche bisogna pensare che lavorino insieme nel creare significazioni particolarmente profonde.
Si è passato, quindi, in rassegna tutti gli scatti degli autori per far nascere una mostra dal sapore quasi caricaturale: la modella è stata disgregata, riunita, spogliata, posizionata e lasciata libera di giocare col suo corpo. Tutto questo manovrare il corpo di una modella ha portato alla luce i suoi sentimenti e i suoi stati d’animo che sono stati riportati sapientemente dagli autori nelle loro immagini.
Il corpo non mente. Ricordate queste parole.
Attraverso le fotografie si leggono con chiarezza i pensieri della modella, persino la sua stanchezza e la voglia di terminare una giornata di scatti comandata proprio come un manichino.
Marina ha dato tutta se stessa nella comunicazione e i fotografi hanno colto nella sua figura tutta la sua armonia.

Body languages
Last Tuesday (9 April 2024) the collective exhibition entitled “MANNEQUIN – Body Languages” was inaugurated at the A.C.A.F. headquarters. (Catanese Association of Amateur Photographers).
The exhibition arose from the workshop “The language of the body” that I held on 20/21 January 2024 in a posing room with the participation of a model/dance teacher, Marina Pezzinga.
The main theme of the workshop was the language of the body and in photography starting from the nineteenth century up to the years of the sexual revolution.
In the introductory lesson, images by various international photographers were viewed, through which some of the ways of representing the human figure on an artistic and social level were brought to light.
During the shooting phases, the model made herself available to the photographers who, with my help, brought out their personalities.
The exhibition, entitled MANNEQUIN, is an exaltation of the human figure (of a woman in this case editor’s note) that shows the different languages of the body in the language of photography. Indeed, rather say the languages of the body “with” the language of photography: once the two semantic spheres have been grafted together we must think that they work together in creating particularly profound meanings.
We then reviewed all the authors’ shots to create an exhibition with an almost caricatural flavour: the model was disintegrated, reunited, stripped, positioned and left free to play with her body. All this maneuvering of a model’s body brought to light her feelings and her moods which were expertly advised by the authors in their images.
The body doesn’t lie. Remember these words.
Through the photographs we can clearly read the model’s thoughts, even her tiredness and desire to end a day of shots controlled just like a mannequin.
Marina gave her all in communication and the photographers captured all her harmony in her figure.
